Hello Out readers, have you been holding space for the lyrics of 'Defying Gravity' this weekend? I hope so.

As you've probably seen, Cynthia Erivo, who stars as Elphaba in the new film Wicked, didn't know that people were "taking the lyrics of 'Defying Gravity' and really holding space with that, and feeling power in that. Now, thanks to our own Tracy E. Gilchrist in a viral interview clip, she knows.

"That's really powerful -- that's what I wanted," Erivo said when she found out. Of course, if you've seen the viral clip, you know that around the time Erivo replied, her costar, Ariana Grande, offered support in the form of reaching out and grabbing just one of Erivo's fingers and holding it tightly.

"I've seen it on a couple posts, I don't know how widespread," Gilchrist added. "But you know, I am in queer media."

Thank god that queer media can bring us together at a time like this! And if you haven't already seen Wicked (which I gave 5 stars and 3 eggplants in my review), go and make plans to right now! It's important to hold space for it!
