WATCH Todd Haynes on Carol: 'It Reminded Me of What It's Like To Fall in Love'

Six-time Oscar nominee Carol was one of the most acclaimed movies of the year. As Carol is released on demand and on DVD and Blu-ray on March 15, director Todd Haynes shares an exclusive clip of his behind-the-scenes interview for the bonus footage.

Haynes explains what got him interested in the story a lesbian romance with Cate Blanchett in the title role. The movie is based on Patricia Highsmith's novel The Price of Salt, which published under a pseudonyme at the time -- her only non-crime novel.
