Premiere: MiddleSpoon’s New Track is All About Love
The duo’s upcoming debut EP HouseWife is out this spring.
It's all about love in MiddleSpoon's new single. The Austin-based duo has been working to strip away the heteronormative traditions keeping pop music tied down and their latest track, "MiddleSpoon," confronts traditional relationship roles.
"The name itself implies that there are more than two people involved in a charming embrace. It's a song about being free to live your best life - whatever that may be. We all view relationships differently. Monogamy works for some; polyamory works for others," the band said. "What's most important is realizing that at the core, the main commitment is one to yourself. It starts with you, no matter how hard. It's about opening yourself up to your curiosities and others who want to embrace them with you."
The track is from the duo's upcoming debut EP HouseWife, out this spring. Listen to "MiddleSpoon" below, and stream other tracks from HouseWife, here.
