On Saturday afternoon, as President Trump busied himself with another round of golf, over a million activists gathered across the country for the March For Our Lives. While official counts are still being tallied, at least 1.2 million people showed up in force at the hundreds of rallies in the United States to protest gun violence.

After gathering outside of the LGBT Center in New York at 5AM, we joined the Gays Against Guns and Voices 4 protest organizers for a bus ride to Washington D.C. to sashay down the National Mall with hundreds of thousands of people. In total, there were an estimated 800,000 people in the nation's capital, which, if accurate, makes the anti-gun rally "the largest single-day protest in the history of the nation's capital," according to USA Today.

As we wound through the packed crowd and watched speeches from teen activists from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida; Chicago, Illinois; Brooklyn, New York; and other areas impacted by gun violence, photographer Hunter Abrams captures the diverse crowd through his lens.
