"The bitch always gets remembered."

It seemed like the Cinderella story of RuPaul's Drag Race when veteran queen Mayhem Miller finally got the call and was selected for the cast of the show's tenth season.

Sadly, after auditioning countless times and having more than one teary-eyed confession about how much being on the show meant to her, Mayhem was told to sashay away after her bottom two lip sync performance against New York City queen and stealthy lip sync assassin Monet X Change. Though she didn't leave with a crown, Mayhem earned her spot in the illustrious halls of Drag Race.

OUT: How many times had you auditioned for Drag Race in the past?

Mayhem Miller: To be honest I don't even remember anymore. I just know I've been sending in audition tapes since season two.

What was it like this time around when you finally got that call?

It was exciting because I didn't think it would ever happen. I told myself this was going to be my last time auditioning and when I got the call I was like, 'Oh gosh, it's finally happening.' Then when I hung up the phone I was like, 'Oh my god, it's happening!' So of course right off the bat I was thinking how am I going to do this? What's the plan of attack? How are we going to do this and leave a mark? Because it's been a long time coming.

You know a lot of big-name queens who have been through the Drag Race machine, what was some of the advice queens like Raven and Morgan McMichaels gave you?

A lot of the girls told me to be myself and to enjoy the ride while it's happening. It's easy to get caught up in all of it and have it be gone in a moment. They told me to have fun with it.

Was your experience on the show everything you had hoped for?

Definitely. I think it was always in the back of my mind to enjoy what was going on. Even though it was very stressful and at times very, very difficult, I kept reminding myself: 'Wow, you're finally here. Have fun with it.'

Who were you planning on doing for Snatch Game?

Can I say that? I kind of think I want to save it in case I make it on All Stars?

Would you change anything if you got the call to come back for All Stars?

I love the way that I played the game, so I wouldn't change any aspect of that. I think I would try to show why I am Mayhem. I think I presented myself well on the show but I didn't really get a chance to act up. Instead of taking the competition as serious as I did I wish I would have taken a step back and let loose a little bit more and not been afraid to show the girls why they should definitely fear me.

It's ok to be remembered for being nice.

Most of the time the bitch always gets remembered, but I'm hoping this time around the nice girl gets remembered as well.

RuPaul's Drag Race airs Thursdays on VH1 at 8/7c.
