Premiere: LP Giobbi Turns Up the Heat with House Single ‘Perfect Fire’

Though the stickily humid 90-degree days can be misleading, the summer of 2018 is coming to a close. Labor Day is just around the corner and the first crisp gusts of fall won't be far behind it. Thankfully producer LP Giobbi has teamed up with queer singer/rapper Hermixalot to send us off in style.

On their new single, "Perfect Fire," the two come together for a dose of house perfection. Having written the lyrics during a period of deep self-doubt, Hermixalot had her revelation, "I'm not perfect, but I'm on fire," turned into a thumping house banger sung by Claire George. "I started meditating on the idea of perfection, and how my definition of it was getting me stuck in my head about where I was supposed to be, and what I was supposed to be doing," said Hermixalot in a release. "I realized that the fire I had inside was enough to have arrived."

Hermixalot and LP Giobbi are both members of Sofi Tukker's Animal Collective and LP Giobbi will be touring with Tukker this fall. Listen, below.
