Recently, a book by author Rex Ogle and artist Bre Indigo (Meg, Jo, Beth, and Amy: A Modern Graphic Retelling of Little Women) was banned at a library in Ruston, Louisiana for featuring LGBTQ+ characters.

It was a first for the creative team, who had heard of the recent wave of book bans sweeping conservative America, but had not encountered it first-hand. So in response to the ban, they did what they do best: create a story.

Ogle and Indigo shared a graphic novella exclusively with Out about their experience dealing with and experiencing the increasing rise of LGBTQ+ censorship, and the results were eye-opening.
