Kunal Ghose likes to do things in a big way. Just take for example his decision to propose to his partner Jason Aronne: It took place on a Broadway stage in front of hundreds of strangers.
After the curtain call of the September 4, 2013 production of Broadway's Cinderella, the California were called onstage by leading man Santino Fontana, who said they had won a "special promotion." Once the guys took the stage, Ghose got on one knee and proposed to Aronne in front of the remaining audience--"Jason, will you be kind enough to accept me as the man of your life," Kunal says. "And will you marry me?"--which was captured and shared on YouTube.

The couple had been dating for nearly two years before they were engaged. And a fairytale proposal deserves a storybook event, so the Kunal Ghose, 29, and Jason Aronne, 32, had two spectacular celebrations in San Diego.
It began at the couple's home with the wedding sangeet, an informal Indian celebration which took place a couple of days before the wedding, where they all applied mehndi (decorative henna) designs to their hands and danced to Bollywood songs. Then, the wedding ceremony took place at Tom Ham's Lighthouse in San Diego on July 11.
They invited friends and family and had a large wedding party. "Jason's family is like a true Italian family," Ghose explained. "It's huge and full of fun people, and they are all coming to wedding and Sangeet. From my side, only my younger sister supports me; my father has distanced himself from me and my lifestyle here. Hopefully one day he comes around."
Aronne wore a khaki-colored suit with a red shirt and Ghose wore traditional red-and-gold Indian sherwani. The grooms exchanged custom rings--Aronne's 18K white gold with black and white diamonds from Charles Koll; Ghose's platinum with 1.5 carat diamonds--and included their pooches in their walk down the aisle.
