Vincint and Ronnie Woo on Out100 Honors and 2023 Journeys.
November 01 2023 10:00 AM EST
June 26 2024 1:45 PM EST
This is the first part of a two-part video series in honor of Out100. Check out the second part of the conversation here.
The Out100 is nearly here, bringing together this year's honorees to celebrate the most influential individuals of the LGBTQ+ community who are working to improve the world one step at a time. For many of the Out100 honorees, their journey to the event offers a chance to reflect.
In Out's latest two-part series, 'Journey to the Out100,' distinguished Out100 honorees, musician Vincint and chef, author, and TV personality Ronnie Woo, come together to embark on their own journey to the Out100 event. Inside the spacious and refined Lexus TX, they engage in meaningful conversations, offering profound insights into their own journeys, their unique perspectives, and the significance of their recognition at the Out100.
The Out100 list carries profound significance for both Vincint and Ronnie Woo. The latter explains that the list not only offers crucial representation but also empowers young individuals in the LGBTQ+ community, instilling in them the belief that they too can make a difference.
“I’ve wanted to do this for so long, and I’ve had so many friends be on the list and thought it was the coolest thing ever, so when I found out I was like, ‘Are you sure?’” shares Vincint, the "Take Me Home" singer.
Ronnie Woo, author of new cookbook, Did You Eat Yet? expressed a similar sentiment to Vincint's, sharing, “To be on the actual list now is kind of surreal and it’s really nice to feel seen and recognized for making a positive shift in the community.”
