Now in its 7th year, the annual celebration of "drag, music, and love" brought all the queens to Queens. Read more below.
Earth's favorite queer festival, Bushwig, returned last weekend to the Knockdown Center for 23 hours of over 160 performers and non-stop drag, live music, and DJ sets from legendary and rising children of New York and the world.
Summer 2018 closed out at Bushwig's magical playground featuring two stages of drag, DJs, live music and dancing. Plus there was shopping, delicious local food vendors, ice cold drinks from six+ bars, a cheeky darkroom, VIP Kiki-lounge, and more.
Here is a reason we love Bushwig from a page on their site: "Bushwig will not tolerate racist, sexist, transphobic, homophobic, biphobic, femme phobic, ageist, ableist, fat phobic, classist, xenophobic or oppressive behavior or language of any kind at our festival."
Thanks to the talented Nick Reid for the great photography. You can see more of Nick's stuff at Instagram.com/nickreidtime and nickreidofficial.com.
