NYC legend Junior Vasquez celebrated his 70th birthday in Brooklyn on Sept. 2. He spun a special edition set for Teksupport alongside Joseph Capriati and Hex Hector.

Vasquez is a godfather of dance music and one of the most well-known LGBTQ+ producers in the world. He boasts writing credits on hit records with Janet Jackson, Madonna, Cher, Pet Shop Boys -- and that only scratches the surface.

He was also a founder of -- and resident at -- the iconic NYC club Sound Factory and was a mainstay at other nightlife institutions like Twilo, Tunnel, and the Arena at the Palladium.

Not only was this show with Teksupport a huge birthday celebration, but it's also important because as you might have seen, Vazquez has been performing far less than usual as of late. It remains to be seen when he'll next be taking the decks in NYC.
