Red Hot creator and photographer Thomas Knights are on the hunt for the new cover boy for their upcoming 2022 Red Hot calendar. The catch: this iteration is about a hyper specific type of red head.
"This time it's all about the Super Gingers," Thomas Knights said in a release. "We don't want auburn, we don't want strawberry blonde. We're searching for carrot tops, we want the neon gingers. We want the Super Gingers"
Launched in 2014, Red Hot has made a name for itself serving up photos of hot men in and out of clothing. The project started as a book, expanded into a traveling exhibition, and keeps adding aspects. Knights often casts from social media in his mission to "rebrand the ginger male stereotype" by depicting those with fire-colored locks as "sexy and desirable." For this year's theme, Knights is opening the project up to submissions. Interested red heads should send a few images of yourself in natural light to Red Hot's Instagram (@RedHot100). The images must clearly show face, hair, and body.
For fans, pre-purchase of a calendar (and more) is already available through Red Hot's kickstarter campaign.
The person chosen as the cover boy will appear along side models who have already been shot for the calendar. Below are Reade, Ollie, Jonathan, Edward, and the rest other Super Gingers already being featured.
