Now that Democrat Kamala Harris picked Minnesota Governor Tim Walz as her Vice President pick for this November's upcoming presidential election against Donald Trump and JD Vance, we're getting to know him better.
Earlier today, we took a look at where he stands on LGBTQ+ issues, and now, we're taking a closer look at his music taste.
Thankfully, it seems like his taste is quite similar to ours.
While governor, Walz made several moves to show just how big of a pop stan he
really is. In fact, just last year, Walz paid tribute to the greatest artist of her generation:
Beyoncé!
In 2023, Walz declared that July 20 would be known as Beyoncé Day in the state of Minnesota in honor of the incredible singer and her Minneapolis stop on the Renaissance World Tour that took on that date.
In his declaration, he called Beyoncé "one of the most influential artists in the world" and said her "impact extends beyond her music career."
In his tweet about the proclamation, Walz wrote, "I might be Governor of Minnesota, but we all know who runs the world. Welcome to Minnesota, Beyoncé!"
And he doesn't just love Queen Bey! Governor Walz has a wide-ranging love of pop music.
Also in 2023, Walz declared June 23 and June 24 to be Taylor Swift Days in honor of that singer's concerts in Minneapolis during the first North American leg of The Eras Tour.
He had previously tweeted a picture of his cat Afton yowling with the caption, "Afton after being online all day and not getting Taylor Swift tickets."
In
his time as governor, he also declared March 5, 2023 as Bruce Springsteen Day and renamed a portion of Truck Highway 5 to the Prince Rogers Nelson Memorial Highway in honor of the late musical legend Prince.
