Oscar and Grammy winner Jennifer Hudson has partnered with W Hotels and the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) for "I Still Love You," her new video in support of LGBT equality.
The video tells the story of a father coming to grips with his son's gay interracial wedding, leading him to hop in his pickup truck and drive to the ceremony at W Hollywood in Los Angeles. He arrives just in time to turn it out with JHud and a wedding party that includes model Shaun Ross, actress Leisha Hailey, drag queen Manila Luzon and model and LGBT activist Claudia Charriez.
Go head, daddy!
"The 'I Still Love You' music video and its uplifting message are especially timely as the country is celebrating the monumental Supreme Court decision about marriage equality," said Anthony Ingham, Global Brand Leader, W Hotels Worldwide. "W Hotels has always been 'out' about our support of the LGBT community, and we've received incredible support and positive feedback since the launch ofTurn It Up For Change."
"There couldn't be a better time to release this video from my new album," Jennifer Hudson added. "I owe a large part of my success to the LGBT community, who has embraced and supported me from early on in my career, and music continues to prove a powerful platform to help promote LGBT equality. I hope my video inspires everyone."
With wedding season in full swing and marriage equality now a reality, JHud's got the song of the season -- not to be confused with the song of the summer.
To celebrate the music video launch, Bravo TV personality Andy Cohen hosted an exclusive, intimate screening, and panel discussion focused on LGBT equality issues earlier this month at W New York - Union Square. If you couldn't make the event, don't fret! Take a behind-the-scenes look at "I Still Love You" below:
