Jennifer Aniston is starring in the upcoming film Life of Crime, and just like any celebrity, has taken to the late-night circuit to promote her project. When she appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live Wednesday evening, however, the talk show host and frequent trickster decided to take their meeting in a different, sexier direction.
It's the 20th anniversary of Friends' premiere (and there's even a Central Perk Cafe opening in New York's SoHo next month to prove it), so there's plenty of TV nostalgia in the air. Surprising Aniston with an $80,000 exact replica of the Friends' set and guest appearances from former co-stars Courteney Kox and Lisa Kudrow, Kimmel roped Aniston into joining him for a read-through of Kimmel's own self-inserted fan fiction, in which Kimmel plays Ross. Oh, and Joey and Chandler have passed away after being bitten by Kimmel, Ross' pet monkey, Marcel.
Like most fan fiction, the script eventually turns into over-the-top fourth wall breaking and sexy shenanigans, but Aniston & co. show no enthusiasm, employing the help of a laugh track to turn Jimmy's own words against him. After they leave the scene right before the make-out session, with Aniston telling Kimmel "Make love to yourself," Kimmel retaliates by saying he will start his own show, aptly titled Friend.
