Ah, Netflix. Where our old favorite shows go after retirement, ready for us to binge-watch them at any given moment of nostalgia-laden, pizza-fueled bliss.
This time though, instead of what we want and remember, Netflix is giving us what we deserve: a Gilmore Girls revival. According to TVLine, the online television service has closed a deal with Warner Bros. for a limited-series revival of the favorite mother-daughter dramedy. It's thought that much of the main cast will be returning to Stars Hollow for the four 90-minute episode arc, notably Lauren Graham (Lorelai), Alexis Blidel (Rory), Kelly Bishop (Emily), and Scot Patterson (Luke).
The revival will give the series' creator, Amy Sherman-Palladino, who was not part of the show's final season, a chance to end things the way she wanted to all along - with exactly four words (that she won't reveal yet).
It's time to watch old episodes and get your banter back up to Lorelai/Rory levels of rapidity in time for the revival.
