Band of Merrymakers is a super group created by Better Than Ezra's Kevin Griffin and producer Sam Hollander. It features such artists as Charles Kelley from Lady Antebellum, Natasha Bedingfield, Fitz from Fitz and The Tantrums, Tyler Glenn from Neon Trees, and more.
Other songs, such as Bedingfield's "Wishlist," will also be released. "We're all songwriters," Bedingfield told EW. "[And] that was the goal: to write actually good songs. Just kind of boiling it down, when you're writing a song about Christmas you're thinking about what Christmas is really about, that's what we were trying to capture."
Charitable proceeds from the album go to MusiCares, and they will also be performing on NBC's annual Christmas in Rockefeller Center special which airs tonight. "We wanted to bring some mirth back to the world," Hollander told EW. "You can't really overstate the effect they have in musicians' lives."
