The O.J. Simpson trial captivated a nation and brought up complex issues like race, celebrity, and the media's role in the legal system and these are issues that should be addressed with nuance and finesse.
But, American Crime Story: The People V. O.J. Simpson is going to be a Ryan Murphy show, so that's probably not going to happen.
This is the man behind American Horror Story, Glee, and Nip/Tuck after all, so we won't get in complex analysis of difficult issues will be more than made up for with powerful, scene stealing performances from a superstar cast.
We've got the trailer below and it looks incredible.
You've got Sarah Paulson as head prosecutor Marcia Clark, David Schwimmer and John Travolta as Robert Kardashian and Robert Shaprio, who assisted on O.J.'s defense, Selma Blair as Kris Jenner (because of course), and Cuba Gooding Jr. as the accused himself.
On top of all that you've got Courtney B. Vance stealing the whole trailer as Johnnie Cochran, who became a household name because of the case. So strap in, American Crime Story: The People V. O.J. Simpson will premiere on FX on February 2.
