But Neil’s not gone for good...
It seems that Best Time Ever With Neil Patrick Harris has gone to the great DVR in the sky.
Variety reports that NBC has canceled the variety show, but in exchange for another NPH project.
The program debuted in September. The reviews were mixed and the production schedule was grueling. BTE was just too much of a hassle for both the network and the show's host.
"It was an incredibly complicated and sophisticated form of television to put on a live show on a weekly basis," Paul Telegdy, NBC's president of late-night and alternative programming, told Variety. "We're proud of Neil for giving it his all, and we have steely resolve to work together on something new."
That "something new" hasn't been announced yet, but word should break sometime in the begging of 2016, so you shouldn't have to wait too long for your next NPH fix.
