The always-controversial Rosie O'Donnell will take her leave of The View a second time, according to Variety. She replaced co-host Meredith Vieira from 2006-2007, regularly butting heads with quick-slimming Star Jones and Bush apologist Elizabeth Hasselbeck. She returned last year after the show had been retooled and creator Barbara Walters and anti-vaxxer Jenny McCarthy departed.
This time, her rep is citing family needs for O'Donnell's departure. Her rep Cindy Berger said in a statement that O'Donnell has split from her wife Michelle Rounds (in November) and "Rosie has teens and an infant at home that need her attention. This has been a very stressful situation. She is putting her personal health and family first. ABC has been wonderfully understanding and supportive of her personal decision to leave The View. Next week will be her last."
ABC said O'Donnell may make guest appearances.
