He was only kinda joking.
Sam Smith, clutching his armful of Grammys and yet feeling like Kate Winslet at the Oscars, told the press that he's the happiest he's ever been. But can a brother get a date, though?
When asked what would top his four new Grammys, the 22-year-old said, without missing a beat, "A boyfriend would be nice."
Smith, however, was only (kinda) joking. "I don't think it would top this, though," he quickly added, referring to the monumental moment as "the curse for the rest of my life." Once again, he was only (kinda) joking -- those cheeky Brits.
Another reporter asked the crooner what he's looking for in a man: "Patience. Someone who could clean these every day for me.I don't know what I'm looking for. I think the minute I start looking it's not going to come my way. I'm just looking for some crazy love story."
That is what they say. But who needs a crazy love story when you can make coin and befriend Mary J. Blige off that gorgeous heart ache? That's better than love. That's winning life.
