The final season of Glee isn't holding anything back. Sure the drama is as ridiculous as ever, but characters are taking unexpected turns in their lives and rounding out their story lines - hopefully in preparation for a happily ever after.
After already having survived a harrowing domestic violence storyline, Shannon Beiste, the Amazonian of a football coach at McKinley High, has come out as transgender. In this week's episode, Alex Newell, "Unique," will be returning to support Coach Beiste, now Sheldon, through another difficult step in his life.
Backed by a 200-member trans choir, Newell, as Unique, will sing "I Know Where I've Been."
Glee airs Fridays on Fox at 9/8c.
