Lower Dens has released the video for "To Die in L.A." the lead single off its upcoming album Escape From Evil. Directed by SSION's Cody Critcheloe, the video focuses on a deluded, fame-obsessed, "heart-breaker" trying to navigate a rather cliche L.A. and features the band's Jana Hunter.
"I really connected with the song when Jana sent it to me," SSION explains. "I'd been spending a lot of time in L.A. The song inspired me to write the treatment around my friend/muse / singer/actress/goddess Actually Huizenga. She's this quintessential '80s L.A. summerbabe in the video, simultaneously delusional and intelligent, dressed up in all of my current obsessions/impressions of LA as an outsider..."
Escape From Evil is due out March 31 on Ribbon Music. Watch the video below:
