First Look at Queer as Folk Creator's New Show: Banana
Banana will air alongside its brother show, Cucumber, on March 2
Queer As Folk creator Russell T. Davis is hard at work on two new television dramas, Banana and Cucumber (starring sexy Andrew Hayden-Smith). Teaming up with Logo TV and UK's Channel 4, the shows will offer an interweaving storyline that explores two disparate generations of gay men.
The hour-long Cucumber will examine the lives and misadventures of Henry Best and his long-suffering boyfriend of nine years, Lance Sullivan. The half-hour Banana will follow the individual lives of younger characters orbiting around Henry's world, telling stories of modern love -- the romantic, the obsessed, the hopeful, the lonely, the lost, and the lucky -- in an urban Manchester, England setting.
Logo TV will air the first episodes of both shows following the season premiere of RuPaul's Drag Race on Monday, March 2nd at 10 PM EST.
For now, enjoy this first look at the opening scene of Banana:
