The actor called out the Facebook-owned social media platform for its policies on his pelvis.
To protest the exclusion of sexually active gay and bisexual men from giving blood--you have to be celibate for over a year--Alan Cumming is fronting GLAAD's Celibacy Challenge, which is raising awareness of FDA's restrictions.
Cumming shared a pic of him in the campaign's padlock briefs on Instagram only to find the photo had been taken down. It's since been added back to his account after Cumming reposted the photo several times and called out Instagram.
"Hey @Instagram I'd like more of an explanation about why this photo was just removed by you," Cumming wrote in the caption. "Was it the photo itself or the language I used in the text? Either way I find it very surprising and rather alarming."
As ETOnline notes, other notables have posted bulgy underwear shots, such as Calvin Harris without repurcussions. But Comedian Chelsea Handler had her topless photo (a parody of Putin on horseback) censored and removed. She's since posted many topless photos (all of which have been removed).
