The series explores the coffee house’s place in today’s LGBT culture.
In the ever-evolving gay social landscape of bars, Grindr, restaurants, Scruff, underwear stores, Jack'd - you get the picture - where do coffee shops fall?
In his anthology web series, Coffee House Chronicles, writer and director Steward Wade (Coffee Date, Tru Loved, Such Good People) explores how coffee houses fit into today's queer culture. With one on every corner, they can act as meeting places, first date spots, cruising spots, and so much more. Wade has already made the first two episodes and is looking to raise enough to fund six more with an IndieGoGo campaign.
The first episode, starring Mykee Steen and Cesar Cipriano and explored racism in the LGBT community. The second episode, featuring Darryl Stephens and Chris Salvatore, finds Darryl's character haunted (literally) by the ghost of his ex, played by Chris, while his best friend offers him an uncertain, messy future with him.
Perks for donating include thanks in the credits, a walk-on role, pre-release links, producer credits, and attending the premiere and getting to take pictures with the cast and crew.
