Watch: Michael Sam's Dancing With The Stars Premiere

Openly gay NFL hopeful Michael Sam performed an energetic number with partner Peta Murgatroya last night on the premiere of the 20th season of Dancing With The Stars. The dance, performed to 'Uptown Funk,' scored the couple 26 points out of 40, with the judges commenting that Sam's dancing was "hot" and "fun," but that he had to pay attention to his footwork.

Murgatroya won season 14 with her partner Donald Driver, formerly of the Green Bay Packers, perhaps a good omen for Sam (who has taken to Twitter to help his chances).
