Reading Drag Race: A Spoof in the House of "Everybody Say Love!"
Who can spoof Ru the hardest?
Understatement of the Season:
Oh, Max, so young, so innocent, so pulling punches. Aim for the tuck, girlfriend!
Very Special Moment:
Kennedy Davenport remembering her fallen sister, Sahara
Songs in the Key of Spoof:
The queens had to combine music and comedy to spoof songs by Mother Ru herself.
Trixie, Pearl, Miss Fame and Katya turned it to "Tan with Me"
Jaydin, Max and Violet channeled the second best RuPaul song of all time, "Sissy that Walk", with "Get Ready to Clock"
Kennedy, Ginger, Kasha and Kandy made it rain with "I Got Paid"
Though they ruffled Ru's feathers with this not-inaccurate bit of shade
Ru was not ru-mused
Unintentionally Shadiest Moment:
Ru's producer Lucien Piane had some notes for the queens.
Notes that they couldn't hit, but notes nonetheless.
Meanwhile, I just want to throw that Piane in a weekend bag and take him on holiday.
This Week's Bea Arthur Moment(s):
Mrs. Kasha Davis found her inner divine Miss Bea
While judge Ross Mathews remembered his inner Queen Arthur
Though Pearl was considered the weakest link on her team, she did Bea proud with this palazzo pant. There's nothing that golden girl loved more than a skirt illusion.
The RuVeal:
RuPaul and the amazing technicolor dreamdress.
The Runway:
Pearl serving Kiss of the Spider Woman starring White Grace Jones
Miss Fame finally living up to that fashion queen crown
Max on her way to a liason dangereux
Jolie that leg, Katya
Violet's tuck deserves its own Technology & Engineering Emmy
Guest judge Jessica Alba approves
A lesson in subtlety from Mrs. Kasha Davis
Rock Me on this Dais:
Michelle Visage for the win
Why y'all gagging, though?
Occasional actress Jessica Alba offering advice on standing out...wait, that can't be right.
She's so pretty, though, who really cares?
And the Winner Is...
In the end, Ru took the Drag U shade in stride
And Kennedy roared back from the bottom two last week to win this week's challenge. Though this season is full of young gurls, the older queens are showing them how to respect their elders.
Clutch the Pearl:
Michelle finally asked the question I've been wondering all season
Though Trixie explained the reason for Pearl's apparent lack of enthusiasm. So, to answer your question, Michelle: yes. Yes she is.
Life-Saving Lip Synch Moment:
Trixie is cute and giving it her all and blah blah whatever, but Pearl finally woke up to serve a face buffet.
Everyone grab a spoon and dig the fuck in.
And we finally get to see some emotion from this rare and precious stone as she sent Trixie home.
Parting Words:
Where were they, Trixie?
Les Fabian Brathwaite, living spoof.
