As if the news of a live-action Beauty and the Beast (with a hunky Luke Evans as Gaston) weren't good enough, according to The Hollywood Reporter, Disney is developing a live-action version of Mulan.
There isn't a release date or any casting information for the project, still in its very early stages, but there is a script penned by Elizabeth Martin and Lauren Hynek.
The real question is will this live-action remake follow in the song-less, yet still visually gripping glass-slippered-footsteps of Cinderella, or will it be like the upcoming Beauty and the Beast that has actors taking voice lessons? How can anyone even think of a remake without "Reflection" and "Make a Man Out of You?"
Disney also has another live-action Alice in Wonderland set to release next year, and a live-action Dumbo directed by Tim Burton in the works (that is already giving us nightmares).
