We last saw Sal Romano on Mad Men in Season 3 (cruising in a public park, no less), and although we held out hope that he might make an appearance in the final episodes of the series, as we get closer to the end, it seems that's not going to happen.
But Bryan Batt, the openly gay actor who played Sal, recently spoke to The Hollywood Reporter to share where he thinks his character would have ended up. When projecting, he responded: "I like to think later down the line, Sal finally realizes, 'I can't do this anymore... as much as I love you, Kitty,' Then, he puts on the kaftan and gets a Yorkshire Terrier."
Batt recently married his longtime partner in his hometown of New Orleans, and it turns out, he's working on a new project: MTV's Scream TV series based on the Wes Craven movies, that's filming in Louisiana.
ETOnline has confirmed that Batt will play Quinn Maddox, the mayor and father to Brooke (Carlson Young), the school's popular girl in the upcoming series. As he tells THRabout the role:
"I hope I don't die the first season, but it is a slasher series. If I do meet my demise, I hope it's bloody, gory and memorable. I've never had the opportunity to do anything like that, so I'd be interested just for the experience of holding my entrails as they fall out. I wanted to be in that scene in [Mad Men episode] "Guy Walks Into an Advertising Agency" with the lawnmower going over that man's foot. I wanted to be in that shot just to be splattered with blood."
