Season 2 of 'Empire' Returns This Fall

Mark your calendars for the return of the Lyon family!

The Empire writers' Twitter account announced today season two of the drama will premiere on September 23rd.

While the first season only featured 12 episodes of the show, Entertainment Weekly reported that season 2 will feature 18 episodes in two halves.

The season one finale aired in March and left us on the edge of our seats with Lucious (Terrance Howard) behind bars for Bunkie's death plotting his next move.
