The Comeback's comeback was one of the best things to happen to TV since, well, The Comeback's original run 10 years ago. Now with talk of a third season, noted hunk Kellan Lutz wants back in to score one last shot at Valerie Cherish.
Lutz got his start on the show as the dim-witted hot piece Chris MacNess so when the show's creators Michael Patrick King and Lisa Kudrow answered our prayers with the announcement of a long-delayed second season, Lutz was on board. He emailed King saying he would love to be a part of the show, if even for one episode, crediting The Comeback for starting "everything for me."
Well, Lutz got his episode, where his charcter Chris confessed a crush -- among other things -- that he's been harboring.
Val somehow managed to turn that down, but as Lutz told E!, he's ready to give it the old college try again for the third season. That is, if there is a third season. In an interview with BlackBook, Kudrow revealed that she and King are working on some ideas but neither they nor HBO are in no rush.
Take your time, kids -- genius can't be rushed. But I will say this:
Check out Kellan Lutz chatting with E!'s Kristin Dos Santos about The Comeback, riding bikes in Central Park with fans, and that show he's hosting that I'll watch if and whenever he's shirtless:
Les Fabian Brathwaite -- ready to riot if Kudrow doesn't snatch the Emmy.
