The rapper sends an important message in her new music video.
Lil Mama, former America's Best Dance Crew judge, and the fiery female rapper that brought us the 2008 gem "Lip Gloss", has just released the music video for her new song "Sausage." Aside from what the name and some of the lyrics of the song may suggest, Lil Mama is not just calling out some of your favorite breakfast foods, but also sending a simple message about safe sex.
The rapper is filmed in her native Brooklyn wearing a vintage Ninja Turtles varsity jacket, and reenacts scenes from classic '90s music videos such as Mary J. Blige's "Not Gon' Cry" and Madonna's "Vogue," all while spitting words of wisdom like, "Eggs, bacon, grits, (sausage)! / You better use a condom if you takin' that (sausage)!"
While it's been a while since we've seen another hit from the "G-Slide" songstress, it's safe to say "Sausage," while still a contender to become a summer hit, sends out some good advice we can all use: Put a condom on it!
