Cookie Monster does Richard Attenborough’s eccentric billionaire proud.
In preparation for Jurassic World's Friday release, Sesame Street is taking us back to 1993 with one of their popular parodies.
Cookie Monster assumes the role of the dinosaur park's founder but instead of recreating prehistoric reptiles, he's after the giant cookies that walked the earth tens of millions of years ago. The parody pays homage to the famous scenes from the original with a dramatic side-mirror view of a rampaging gingerbread Tyrannosaurus Rex, and offering the carnivore a giant halibut -- wait, that one's new.
Hopefully in the near future these well-written parodies become so popular that the stars from the parodied films join in for an educational, kid-friendly lesson based on their adult companions. Chris Pratt fake-running from a giant dinosaur cookie? Sign me up and insert a joke about the danger of carbs here.
