At one point, it seemed audiences may never get a chance to see director Dito Montiel's film Boulevard, which received the dubious label of being Robin Williams' final film performance after his suicide in 2014. After struggling to find distribution, Starz Digital announced that it would release the film this summer. Now, the theatrical poster for the film, featuring Williams's face in profile and the tagline "It's Never Too Late to Make a U-turn" has been released and Out has the exclusive first look.
When asked about the film's summer release after all this time, Montiel told Out:
"Making movies is like any job. I've had them all. Short moments in time you're attached at the hip and then... life goes on. This one is a particular pill. I spoke with Robin endless times about how much we both loved it. How, more than anything, it was the story everyone knows of letting go. And now again... life goes on."
Boulevard opens in New York July 10 and expands to Los Angeles and additional markets starting July 17.
