Maura Pfefferman fans rejoice!

Transparent, the hit Amazon show that won Jeffrey Tambor a Golden Globe, has been renewed for a third season prior to its season two premiere. The news comes in conjunction with the announcement of a deal between Amazon and Transparent showrunner Jill Soloway, which will partner Soloway's newly-made production company with the on-demand titan.

Amazon Studios VP Roy Price commented, "Jill is truly a creative force and I'm thrilled that we will be collaborating with her additional projects in the future and on a third season of Transparent," and that "customers will be delighted to continue the journey with Maura and the Pfefferman family," according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Soloway also had good things to say of the deal: "I am blown away by the creative freedom Amazon gives me, and I can't wait to reveal where this journey is going to take us."

Transparent follows the story of a transgendered woman attempting to come out to her three grown children, and the chaos and conflict that ensues. The second season will air on Amazon Prime this fall.
