WATCH: 7-Year-Old Waves Pride Flag in Face of Homophobic Rant

zea v homophobe

You go, Zea!

There's nothing better than a first grader who shades at a fifth grade level. Seven-year-old Zea was just living her life over the weekend at ComFest in Columbus, Ohio. Following the good marriage equality news on Friday, the annual music and arts festival turned into an informal pride celebration -- to the chagrin of some homophobes with too much time and not enough Jesus.

While relishing in a tie-dye tutu moment and brandishing the pride flag, Zea was suddenly accosted by a "street preacher," who tried to school the little girl in blind hatred. That's when the 7-year-old gave the homophobe a lesson in courage and real freedom.

Better version of the photo of the awesome kid! I love ComFest! Hope everyone had a good and safe weekend! I'll post more photos this week!

According to Zea's dad:

Zea didn't just flash the flag at that hatemonger, and bail. They went toe to toe, for several minutes, while he bellowed all of his fire and brimstone right in her face. Grown man vs first grader. She told me afterward that she did feel scared. The one thing the people of#comfest2015 never let her feel though? Alone.

First of all, YAS KWEEN!

Second, what grown ass man thinks it's okay to yell in a little girl's face about going to hell? Was he on his way from literally stealing candy from a baby?

Third, the photo of Zea standing up to hate is now a T-shirt with proceeds going to Zea and an LGBT nonprofit chose by the family.
