The out MSNBC anchor quit after Donald Trump the pageant's owner, made offensive remarks about Mexican immigrants.
The Donald's been ditched again. Ever since Trump made some less-than-savory comments during a June 16 campaign speech--he called Mexican immigrants criminals and rapists--corporations and celebrities have been distancing themselves from the real estate mogul and 2016 presidential candidate.
One of the latest people to dump the Trump is MSNBC Live anchor Thomas Roberts. He along with fellow former Miss USA co-hosts Cheryl Burke, Jeannie Mai, Roselyn Sanchez, and Cristian de la Fuente, have jumped ship from the beauty contest scholarship pageant.
Univision was the first to tell the ill-coiffed billionaire "you're fired" when they announced they would not be airing the Spanish-language simulcast of the Miss USA pageant. NBC has since parted ways with Trump, axing him from The Apprentice. ESPN, Macy's, Serta, and NASCAR have also cut ties with the Republican presidential hopeful.
The Miss USA 2015 pageant will be airing Sunday night on the Reelz network. I cannot speak to who will be hosting the padgent, but, if I had to guess, I'd say one or two of those blondes from Fox News, Trump, and I dunno what's Omarosa up to these days?
