... but he's waiting for marriage equality in Australia before getting hitched
With Olympic gold on the mind, Australian bobsledder Simon Dunn is still just a hopeless romantic. In an interview with Attitude, Dunn opened up about training for the Olympics in Canada, past relationships, and waiting for Mr. Right. Although he wants a husband (and is currently single), he's passionate about waiting to get married until it's legal down under:
"I am working so hard training so that I can make it to the 2018 winter Olympics, but one day I would like to meet the right guy, settle down and have kids. But I will only do this when I can get married in front of friends and family in my home country. If I can represent that country in sport I should be able to marry the person I love. I can't believe that now the U.S. has passed same-sex marriage, my country still hasn't caught up with the rest of the world, which makes me angry. The law needs to be changed as soon as possible, otherwise we'll look as bad as other countries who treat gay people like second class citizens"

It looks like Australia has until 2018 to get its priorities in order. Meanwhile, Dunn is staying busy, training in Calgary where he says the gay scene does not leave much room for his big heart. "It's hard to meet guys, because there isn't a big gay scene in Calgary, and I'm training so much. And when I'm not training, I'm working at a gym, so that I can earn money. Once I get the Olympics out of the way, my next challenge would be to find a boyfriend and settle down. It can get lonely being in bed on your own!"
Dunn recently posed for Attitude's "Naked Issue" and, with a bum like his, we're sure that's one challenge he won't need much training for.
