The Curse of Downers Grove will be in theaters in August.
You've got to admire Bret Easton Ellis. Even if you don't agree with his very vocalized opinions, the man is an amazing writer and has the same sticktoitiveness that made America great. Most people would never put pen to paper to write a film script again after critics panned the last one into oblivion, but not Bret. He got back on the horse and created The Curse of Downers Grove.

The film is ostensibly based on true events and focuses on a town in which a member of the local high school's senior class dies every year. Most of the students think the curse is bullshit until somebody actually buys the farm.
Next thing ya know, there are creepy one-eyed dudes slinking around, weapons are drawn left and right, and Tom Arnold is there for some reason. Frankly this one can go either way, but I'm definitely watching to see how it all pans out.
The Curse Of Downers Grove will be in theaters and on iTunes August 21. Check out the trailer below:
