To commemorate the 30th anniversary of the gay community's favorite quartet of feisty ladies gracing the screens of televisions everywhere, Logo will air, in a really out-gaying-themselves-fashion, Logo's 30 Isn't a Drag. Drag queens will throw on their best pant suits, shoulder pads, and geriatric attire to host 30 hours of back-to-back Golden Girls episodes.
The four girls will be portrayed by the fiercest queens from RuPaul's Drag Race: Delta Work will be Dorothy, Pandora Boxx will be Rose, Willam will be Blanche, and Shangela will be Sophia. Watch for the episodes that include guest stars George Clooney, Bob Hope, Julio Iglesias, and Meschah Taylor. Our emcees will introduce the most iconic episodes of the series, with sure-to-be endless shade thrown at the inhabitants of St. Olaf, fierce debate as to who's the biggest slut, and a seemingly endless supply of cheesecake.
The Golden Girls ran for seven seasons, with Bea Arthur, Betty White, Rue McClanahan, and Estelle Getty all netting Emmys for their performances. In the nine days we have left until the marathon begins, I suggest we all stock up on cheesecake and freshen up on the 263 men that our Golden Girls have slept with.
The Golden Girls marathon begins Saturday, Sept 12 at 12 p.m. ET. And to get in the mood, watch a supercut of Dorothy sarcasm below:
