Caitlyn Jenner Totally Fine With Vanity Fair-Inspired Halloween Costume
In case you forgot, the internet went into a tizzy a few weeks ago when a men's Halloween costume of Caitlyn Jenner Vanity Fair cover outfit went on sale.
Trans groups lambasted the costume and petition circulated urging retailer Spirt Halloween not to sell the costume.
As for Jenner's opinion, she's not bothered.
In a preview for her two-part Today show interview with Matt Lauer, Lauer asks Jenner, "When you hear that there are companies out there that want to do Caitlyn Jenner costumes for Halloween from the Vanity Fair cover, are you in on the joke or do you think it's offensive?"
"I'm in on the joke. I don't think it's offensive at all," Jenner replied. "I know the community does and they've gotten a lot of criticism for doing it. I think it's great."
"They could have a better looking outfit for him [the model], you know?" she said, laughing. "I mean that was a serious bustier on the cover of Vanity Fair, you know?"
So does this change the discourse at all? Does Jenner's two-cents even matter?
We've got the clip of the interview below:
