WATCH: The First Trailer for the Live-Action Jungle Book
Now that Disney has made it known that live-action reboots of some of their cherished classics are here to stay, each announcement or piece of news seems more exciting than the last.
After an impressive cast lineup for Beauty and the Beast, set to release in 2017, the idea of Disney one-upping themselves didn't seem very likely. Of course, with each new phenomenal Disney announcement it's easy to forget about the previous ones.
Enter the first trailer for the live-action reboot of The Jungle Book. In it we get a peek at Mowgli (Neel Sethi) romping through breathtaking CGI jungles, all while being spoken to by a beguiling voice which is disembodied at first, only to be revealed that it's Kaa, the giant python, and the hypnotic voice belongs to none other than Scarlett Johansson.
Though none of the Mowgli's other famous animal companions and enemies speak in the trailer, the voice cast behind the jungle dwellers is impeccable: Ben Kingsley voices Bagheera, Bill Murray is Baloo, Christopher Walken is King Louie, Idris Elba is Shere Khan, and Giancarlo Esposito and Lupita Nygon'o voice the wolves Akela and Raksha, respectively.
