Lady Gaga Releases the Video for Her Song About Campus Rape

Earlier this year Lady Gaga's "Til It Happens to You" became the theme song for Kirby Dick's documentary on campus rape, The Hunting Ground, becoming a haunting anthem for the film's dark subject matter.

Now, Gaga has released the equally disturbing video for the song. Directed by Catherine Hardwicke, it depicts a few of the ways that sexual assault can happen and how it looms over and continues to torture the victims. But more importantly, the video shares the triumph of those who survive and overcome the terror they experienced.

The video features Nikki Reed and Lilan Bowden, and a portion of the sales of the song will go to organizations helping survivors of sexual assault. Warning: the video's content can be graphic and disturbing at times.
