Shalom, Shamericans! New web series — starring Angela Kinsey, Marque Richardson, and Jillian Bell ‚ shows the gay-friendly side of Israel.
Hamburger Hummus, a new, scripted digital comedy series that follows a fictional group of American bloggers attending a conference in Tel Aviv, debuted online this week. It's directed by Workaholics' Jay Kara and stars a hilarious cast that includes Angela Kinsey (The Office), Jillian Bell (Workaholics, 22 Jump Street) and Marque Richardson (Dear White People). As the series description reads:
"Their interests across technology, beauty, environmentalism, and shameless one-night stands lead to a bounty of Clark Griswold-like, fish-out-of-water moments..." and includes the pilot introduces the characters with these epithets: "The Hot Mess," "The Teenage Crusader," "The Techie," and the trio of "The Mommy Blogger," "The Paranoid Dad," and "Their Baby."
Here, in the series' second episode, "Baba Gaynoush," Nathan (played by Richardson) gets a very public outing by his proud adopted mom (Kinsey):
