Daniel Franzese of Mean Girls Meets the Real Damian

This weekend's Television Critics Association (TCA) gathering in Pasadena brought out numerous stars of our favorite shows. One such attendee was Out100 honoree, Daniel Franzese who was promoting his new Freeform (formerly ABC Family) show, Recovery Road.

Although Franzese has quickly become an influential voice in the queer community, he'll always hold a special place in our heart as Cady Heron and Janis Ian's too gay to function best friend, Damian. That's why an impromptu Mean Girls reunion is always a joyous occasion.

So guess who Franzese ran into at the TCA's. None other than TV Guide writer, Damian Holbrook. Yes, Tina Fey's actual gay best friend from high school, Damian, met his big screen counterpart. It's like seeing a dog walk on its hind legs.
