"From the day he was born, he was trouble."
With live musical broadcasts being all the rage lately, Fox's production of Rocky Horror Picture Show is sure to be the event of the year. Laverne Cox is leading a star-studded cast as Dr. Frank-N-Furter, the sweet transvestite from Transsexual, Transylvania. Although Adam Lambert was once in consideration for the part, he's now been cast as Eddie.
It's not hard to imagine the American Idol runner-up as a leather-clad biker boy. You may remember Eddie as the rock-n-roller ex-delivery boy who crashes the party at Frank-N-Furter's castle. No spoilers, but it doesn't end well for Eddie.
Ok, you were bound to find out sooner or later. Just remember to put a lipstick 'V' on your forehead before the live show.
After being cast, Lambert said:
"I grew up watching Rocky Horror, but could never imagine that I would be part of this new vision. Rocky Horror always made me feel like it was okay to celebrate my weirdness. Hallelujah, bless my soul! I love that old time rock-n-roll!"
