For the second year in a row, noted pop legend Janet Jackson is up for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Why she isn't all up in there already defies logic, but when you take a look at some of this year's other nominees it becomes clear that logic has nothing to do with it.

Funk queen Chaka Khan, disco supergroup Chic (for the 11th time), The Cars, Kraftwerk, The Zombies, MC5, Yes, Joe Tex, and the J. Geils Band are among this year's repeat nominees. Meanwhile, Janet's Poetic Justice co-star Tupac Shakur, Pearl Jam, Depeche Mode, Joan Baez, Jane's Addiction, most overrated band of all time Journey, Bad Brains, Steppenwolf, and Electric Light Orchestra are first-time nominees to the Hall of Fame.
As in years past, fans can vote for their favorite acts to be inducted next year, with official inductees announced in December.
