Michael Moore went on The View on Monday to discuss his new film, Michael Moore in Trumpland, and had a few choice words for host Candace Cameron Bure on her Christian politics.
"What I would say to the people who are against abortion is, if you are against it, don't have one. If you are against gay marriage, don't get gay married. You won't like it. It's not for you. But live and let live."
This to-the-point line came in response to Bure's questioning of Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton's Christian policies, who Moore says his film is really about.
"When [Hillary] says she's a Christian, I think she means it and I think she lives it," says Moore. "The people who talk about it, 'I'm a Christian,' you know, oftentimes aren't. The idea of being a Christian is to just behave that way."
Bure responded, "I wish she played up her Christian -- I don't want to say played the Christian card -- but I wish she played up her faith. But I understand why she doesn't."
To which Moore cooly replied: "She doesn't talk about it, she lives it. She acts it."
