Wednesday night, the Country Music Awards aired on ABC and Beyonce shut it down with a performance of her country-inspired Lemonade track, "Daddy Issues."
Queen Bey teamed up with legendary country group Dixie Chicks to perform the song, which they have previously covered in concert. The song, a tribute to Bey's Texas roots, is a standout on her album.
The CMA's choice to feature Beyonce is somewhat of a political statement, especially given the upcoming Nov. 8 election. Dixie Chicks have been the subject of past controversy when they openly dismissed President George Bush at a 2003 concert.
